My Oceana on Broadbeach Review
This Oceana on Broadbeach review is based on our families stay here while visiting the Gold Coast theme parks.
These beachfront apartments are a great accommodation choice for families as they are spacious with full kitchen facilities. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with ocean views but there’s also the choice of one-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom apartments. The main bedroom had a king size bed and the second had two king single beds.
The modern kitchen included an oven, microwave, and dishwasher plus laundry facilities, which we find really useful when traveling with kids. The open-plan living area was spacious with views out to the ocean and a LCD TV with Foxtel channels.
The glass doors lead out onto a large private balcony, which had amazing beach and ocean views. It was wonderful to watch the sun rise over the ocean and sit out at night and look at the stars, listening to the waves crash onto the beach.
The reverse cycle air conditioning is a blessing on hot nights or cold mornings. The apartment was quiet and we couldn’t hear any noise from the other accommodation, which is sometimes a problem.
What we liked most about this Broadbeach apartment was the location as it is in a peaceful area and within walking distance of both Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise. It took us about 20 minutes to walk to Broadbeach and about 30 minutes to Surfers Paradise.
How close to the beach is Oceana on Broadbeach?
Oceana on Broadbeach is very close to the beach with direct beach access, perfect if you want a morning walk along the beach.
Does Oceana on Broadbeach have a pool?
Yes Oceana on Broadbeach does have a pool. In fact there are two: a 20m outdoor lap pool and a 13m outdoor heated swimming pool. Sun loungers are available poolside.
Oceana on Broadbeach Facilities
As well as the two pools, Oceana on Broadbeach has a sauna, spa, and gym. You can cook dinner on the BBQ and eat under the gazebo by the pool.

Oceana on Broadbeach Car Parking
If you have a car, there is a secure underground car park with lifts straight up to the apartments. The maximum height is 2.1m and only one car bay is allocated for each apartment.
Where to book Oceana on Broadbeach
We booked through booking.com as that was the best deal we found with free cancellation. We have used the free cancellation numerous times and our deposit has been refunded immediately. It’s always a peace of mind knowing you can cancel without any charges.
How to get to Oceana on Broadbeach from Gold Coast airport
If arriving into Gold Coast airport, you can take the Route 777 bus which is a limited stop service, taking you to Broadbeach South station. You can find up-to-date timetables and ticket prices on the Translink website.
The Con-X-ion bus from Gold Coast Airport to Broadbeach is a door to door shuttle service. Book with Get Your Guide for free cancellation, instant confirmation, and mobile ticketing. The cost as at April 2021 was A$23 per person, making it a lot cheaper than a taxi if only one or two people are travelling.
You can get a taxi at the taxi rank at the southern end of the terminal, outside the domestic arrivals area. Expect to pay on average around A$60.
If you book a ride-share with Uber or Ola, the pick up point is at the northern end of the Terminal, outside the departures area.
For a bit of luxury, you can book a private transfer to your accommodation. The driver will monitor your flight and be waiting for you with a name card.

Tip: The earlier car rentals are booked, the cheaper it is with more choice of vehicles.
How to get to Oceana on Broadbeach from Brisbane airport
Airtrain services travel between Brisbane Airport and the Gold Coast every 15 minutes during peak hours, but you will need to change onto the G Link tram at Helensvale for Broadbeach.
