Martinique On Macrossan is just 60 m from Four Mile Beach and set amongst tropical gardens and a saltwater swimming pool. The apartments are air-conditioned and have a kitchenette and balcony. They are ideal for couples as children under 15 years of age cannot be accommodated at this property.
Port Douglas Luxury Accommodation
Port Douglas Peninsula Boutique Hotel – Adults Only Haven – is a boutique hotel with ocean views of Four Mile Beach. All the suites have either a balcony or terrace, small kitchen facilities, a double bath, and a walk-in shower. The price includes breakfast by the pool and is an excellent choice for couples looking for a romantic weekend away.
Penthouse 239 – Pullman Sea Temple Port Douglas is a two-bedroom, privately owned penthouse apartment perfect for couples or a family. Family Accommodation in Port Douglas
Mowbray By The Sea apartments include premium cable TV channels to keep the family entertained. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals, and the laundry facilities come in handy when you’ve got small kids! If you don’t feel like cooking, Mowbray By The Sea is only a 5 minutes’ walk to the main Macrossan Street’s cafes and restaurants.

Garrick House features air-conditioned apartments with a kitchen and laundry. Kids and adults will love the tropical resort-style heated pool and gardens. It is located only 200 m from Four Mile Beach and within a 2-minute walk from the restaurants and cafés on Macrossan Street. The only downside is there aren’t any lifts, so you will need to take suitcases up the stairs.

Freestyle Resort Port Douglas contains resort-style apartments about a 15-minute walk from the Port Douglas Marina. The décor and furnishings were a bit dated but have apparently recently been refurbished. The heated saltwater swimming pool is lovely to relax in after a day of sightseeing. You can cook meals in the kitchen or the barbecue area. It’s a great kid-friendly resort.
5 Star Resorts Port Douglas
Niramaya Villas and Spa have a private plunge pool and patio with a BBQ, set amongst landscaped gardens. The luxurious villas feature an outdoor shower, a bathtub, kitchen, and lounge area. The resort includes a gym, restaurant, bar, and a 30 m infinity pool. I wouldn’t mind being there right now, relaxing in the villa’s outdoor area.
Peppers Beach Club is a 2-minute walk to Four Mile Beach. The rooms are the usual hotel standard, and you have the choice of Spa Suites, One, Two, and Three Bedroom Suites with plunge pools or lagoon access. This resort features a beautiful lagoon pool, fitness centre, in-room massage, and cable tv. The resort has a tropical vibe and a tranquil ambience.
Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas boasts the usual 5-star resort amenities and an 18-hole golf course. It also has an impressive two hectares of swimmable, saltwater lagoon pools complete with cabanas, a swim-up bar, and sandy beaches. The Sheraton is the only beachfront property on Fourmile Beach.
Cheap Port Douglas Accommodation
Port Douglas Motel is a few minutes’ walk from Four Mile Beach and just 50 m from the restaurants and shops on Macrossan Street. All air-conditioned studios have a bathroom, kitchenette, and sofa. The rooms are large, clean, and brightly decorated. There’s an outdoor saltwater pool with pool towels provided. Great value – check out the cheap price.
Pink Flamingo Resort is pet friendly if you are travelling with your dog. The quirky rooms either feature a kitchen or kitchenette and have an outdoor bath (and an indoor shower). It is located 500 m from Four Mile Beach, and the property has a heated swimming pool, a poolside bar, and an outdoor fitness centre. Please note that children are not allowed in this Port Douglas accommodation. The Pink Flamingo Resort has excellent reviews but is more of a motel style than a resort.
Lazy Lizard Motor Inn has large, spotlessly clean rooms. Located a 12-minute walk from Four Mile Beach, the air-conditioned studios have renovated kitchenettes with a work desk, couch, and an outdoor patio. The property features a heated outdoor pool and a barbecue area set amongst tropical gardens.
