Beach Activities at Yanchep Beach

Swimming is one of the most popular beach activities at Yanchep Lagoon. The calm waters are protected by the surrounding reef, creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all ages. However, be cautious as the current flowing from the lagoon into deeper water can be strong.

As with any beach, swim between the red and yellow flags as this area is patrolled by surf lifesavers on weekends and public holidays from October to March.

Snorkelling and scuba diving are also popular activities. The clear waters provide excellent visibility, allowing visitors to explore the vibrant marine life like crayfish, seastars, cuttlefish, and octopus.
