Things To Do At Little Beach

Little Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Western Australia. The white powdery sand stands out in contrast to the bright blue water and granite rocks. The bay is curved, reaching around between two granite headlands.

We enjoy walking along this beach and relaxing while taking in the view. Some other things to do at Little Beach are:

  • Swimming (only on calm days)
  • Scuba Diving
  • Fishing (brilliant salmon fishing)
  • Bush Walks

The Baie de Deux Peuples, a 5 km hike, takes you along the heritage trail. This grade 3 walk starts from the Two Peoples Bay Visitor Centre and ends at Little Beach.

Best Time To Visit Little Beach

The summer months of December to February are the best time to visit Little Beach. The warm temperatures and longer daylight hours make it an ideal time for beach activities and water sports.

During this time, the azure water of this magical beach sparkles and the calm water makes it a great spot for swimming and snorkelling. Outside of summer, the water can be too cold for water activities.

However, December and January are the busiest times due to the WA summer school holidays, so don’t expect the beach to yourself.

Locals Tip

Walk along the beach to the northern end, where you will find stairs leading up to a path. This leads to rocks where you can see Waterfall Beach – maybe even prettier than Little Beach. Some rock scrambling is involved in getting down onto this wonderful beach, so it is quieter.

Consider buying a National Park Pass if you plan to visit for more than one day (it covers most parks in WA).
