Diamond Forest Farm Stay consists of cottage accommodation on 50 acres with a 3-acre dam and over 100 animals. There are two types of beautiful country cottages, both of which can cater for up to five people – the family cottages and the pet-friendly cottages (yes, you can even take your dog). They are spread well apart so you have plenty of privacy and the balconies have wonderful views of the dam and surrounding countryside.

There’s also a barbecue that can be used if the weather is nice.

The lounge area has reverse cycle air conditioning to cool you down in the summer months and provide heating in the winter months. It also has an LCD flat TV and DVD player to keep you entertained at night.

The main bedroom has a Queen bed and the second has two singles. Another lovely touch are the electric blankets provided when it is cold. We went in July and were very glad of them (the girls loved it). All linen and towels are provided for your stay as well.

Keriann and Mark are gracious hosts who really make you feel welcome and are happy to answer any questions you have about the farm.

The highlight of staying here is the daily morning feed. You walk around the farm with your hosts and help hand feed the many animals. It usually takes about ninety minutes but time goes quickly as it is so much fun (for the adults as well as the children).

There are two canoes on the property that are free for guests to use.

You can even fish in the dam as it is stocked with rainbow trout.

The Animals

Our daughters loved the animals and just wanted to hang around the farm all day to visit them! There are cows, sheep (we saw tiny lambs too), donkeys, ponies, goats, a horse, jersey cow, a bull, an Australian mini pig and lots of different species of birds.
