Kalbarri Accommodation – Where we’ve Stayed

Our family has camped and stayed in a villa at Kalbarri Holiday Tudor Park. It’s a short walk to the waterfront and restaurants and features a swimming pool, children’s playground, and camp kitchen.

On late notice, we managed to book the four-bedroom townhouse at  Kalbarri Seafront Villas, which sleeps up to eight. The double-storey villa has a kitchen, laundry, bathroom, dining area, and lounge downstairs with all the bedrooms, and another bathroom and lounge upstairs. The large balcony with an outdoor setting and barbecue has beautiful river views. However, the rooms are dated.

What to Consider when Booking Accommodation in Kalbarri

1. Kalbarri Accommodation: Location & Noise

When choosing somewhere to stay in Kalbarri, there are several factors to consider, such as convenience and amenities. Do you want to be close to the foreshore, shops, and restaurants? Or are you looking for somewhere private and secluded?

Please consider the more central the accommodation, the noisier it will be. Some places have noise restrictions in place for guests after 10 pm.

2. Kalbarri Accommodation: Price

When booking Kalbarri accommodation, there are various price options to compare. Depending on the size and amenities, prices can range from A$110 to A$600 per night.

Those looking for basic accommodation can stay at the highly-rated Kalbarri Palm Resort from A$110 for a twin studio or A$250 for a two-bedroom villa per night.

For a more luxurious stay, a private four-bedroom double-storey residence can be booked for around A$600 per night.

There are also plenty of mid-range options, with apartments, cabins, and villas.

3. Kalbarri Accommodation: Quality

Read reviews to find out the quality of the accommodation – have they supplied good quality linen, towels, and appliances? Keep in mind the cost and decide if it is good value.

4. Kalbarri Accommodation: Amenities

What amenities are available? I always ensure the accommodation has air-conditioning, good wi-fi, provides linen and towels, and a fridge.

If we stay longer than a few days, I like to have a fully-equipped kitchen (with a coffee machine), to save money eating out. Laundry facilities are handy when you have childre.

Swimming pools, spas, and gyms in apartment complexes are a great addition (pools have been a lifesaver when our girls were younger).

Some hosts go above and beyond, providing beach towels, cooking staples, and wine (probably my favourite item).

5. Kalbarri Accommodation: Size

How many people are you travelling with? Do you need a big house or can you do with a small cabin? A holiday house may be the best option for a group or family as they offer more space and privacy.

6. Kalbarri Accommodation: Accessibility

For travellers with accessibility requirements, there are a few options available, such as Kalbarri Edge Resort and Pelican’s Nest.

7. Kalbarri Accommodation: Parking

If you have a car, find out about parking. Is it free? Is it secured? Can the car fit into the space easily?

8. Kalbarri Accommodation: Pets Allowed

Travelling with your pet? Make sure you book dog-friendly Kabarri accommodation. It’s predominantly private holiday rentals that allow pets. However, some caravan parks, like Kalbarri Red Bluff Tourist Park, allow pets when camping on their powered ensuite sites.

9. Kalbarri Accommodation: Cleanliness & Comfort

Check reviews before booking your Kalbarri accommodation – they usually mention how clean and tidy the rooms are. Consider how comfortable the beds are and if the property is well maintained.
