Atrium Buffet in the Crown Perth, Western Australia is renowned for its excellent buffet and rightly so. The food is of a very high quality, so even if you normally don’t like buffets, maybe Atrium Perth can change your mind. We visit at least twice a year, with the most recent visit being on my birthday this month.
It’s a favourite with children too; our daughters always choose to come here for their birthday treat. They love the Asian station, sushi, and the delicious desserts (including the chocolate fountain).

Atrium Buffet Review
Marco Bijl, who is originally from the Netherlands, is the head chef at Atrium. The food is fresh and of excellent quality and not the standard buffet fare. We find it to be great value for money if you enjoy seafood as there are plenty of choices including oysters, mussels, prawns, squid, sushi and sashimi. There is also a huge range of antipasto and cheeses.
Our next favourite is the Asian station which normally includes tasteful curries and Peking Duck. The last time we visited there were ribs, pork, butter chicken, dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, Peking Duck and many other dishes that I couldn’t fit on my plate!
There are also plenty of Western dishes to choose from including roast meats, pasta, vegetables, potatoes and soup.
Of course no buffet is complete without the dessert station which includes ice cream, a chocolate fountain, lollies and mini desserts. The guava panna cotta and red velvet cheesecake was delicious and so were the churros. Our daughters loved the mango sorbet.
I defy you to leave there without a full stomach!
We have also had the Atrium Breakfast a few times, which has plenty of food options. There’s a huge choice of yoghurt, cereals, Miso Soup, bread selections, cold platters, fresh fruit, Dim Sum, hot Asian dishes, typical “English” breakfast items, and an assortment of bakery items.
I would rate it as one of the best breakfast buffets in Perth.
Where to stay near Atrium Restaurant
Of course, when dining at the Atrium, it makes sense to stay at one of the Crown hotels. We like the Crown Towers the best and then Crown Metropol. We weren’t very impressed with the Crown Promenade, but it is the cheapest out of the three.
We stay here a couple of times a year, it’s one of the best hotels in Perth. Why not make a night of it.
We use Booking.Com most of the time for their competitive prices, ease of booking, and cancellation policy. Click HERE to see what cheap deals they have today. Make the most of your Crown experience and stay a night at this luxurious resort.
Helicopter ride over Perth
For a true feeling of Perth, take a scenic six-minute flight over Perth city, departing from the gardens of the iconic Crown Towers. You’ll take in the city’s highlights including Optus Stadium, Matagarup Bridge, Elizabeth Quay, Kings Park and the Swan River.
Tours near Crown Perth
If you are visiting Perth from interstate or overseas, why not combine your Crown Buffet with a tour of our city?
We enjoyed the Perth Explorer Hop On Hop Off Bus which stops at Crown Perth. It’s an easy and budget-friendly way to explore Perth. Just hop off when you wish to check out the attractions that interest you, and when you’re on board, listen to recorded narration about the city’s major sights.
