Discounts and Special Offers to Watch Out For
Due to this being one of the best buffet experiences in Perth and almost always fully booked, it’s difficult to get any discounts.
However, Crown Perth frequently runs promotions, particularly for members of their Crown Rewards program, where you can accumulate points and redeem them for dining vouchers or discounts. Occasionally, seasonal offers or holiday specials provide reduced rates or added perks like complimentary drinks. It’s also worth checking for midweek promotions, where the buffet might offer discounted pricing during quieter periods.
Staying updated on the Crown Perth website or signing up for their newsletter is a smart way to ensure you don’t miss out on these deals and can make your buffet experience even more affordable.
Weekday vs Weekend Experience
Weekdays tend to offer a quieter, more relaxed dining experience, making it ideal if you prefer a more leisurely buffet without the hustle and bustle. Weekends, particularly during lunch and dinner, see an increase in foot traffic, making the atmosphere more lively but also more crowded. The variety of food is generally consistent, though weekends might feature a few special dishes or live cooking stations to cater to the larger crowd.
Insider Tips
- Best Times to Avoid Queues: For a smoother experience with fewer crowds, aim for a weekday lunch or dinner. If visiting on the weekend, try to book the earliest time slot to avoid the peak rush.
- Optimal Seating: The seats near the windows tend to offer a better ambiance with natural light and a more open feel. For a quieter dining experience, avoid sitting too close to the buffet stations or main walkways, where there can be more noise and foot traffic.
- Booking: Make reservations ahead, especially on weekends or for larger groups, as walk-ins may face longer waiting times.
Lunch vs Dinner Pricing: What’s the Difference?
The pricing for lunch versus dinner at the Atrium Buffet reflects a difference in the variety and exclusivity of the dishes offered. Lunch is generally more affordable, making it a great option for those who still want to enjoy the buffet’s wide selection without the higher dinner prices. However, the dinner buffet often includes more premium options, particularly in the seafood and roast sections. You might find items like prawns, oysters, or specialty meats that aren’t always available during lunch service.
Additionally, the dinner experience tends to feel more upscale, with an enhanced ambiance and sometimes longer dining hours, making it a popular choice for evening celebrations or special outings. If you’re looking for more variety and don’t mind the higher price tag, dinner could be the better option, but lunch still delivers great value for those focused on a delicious yet more budget-friendly experience.

Seafood Delights: Oysters, Prawns, and More
The seafood selection at Atrium Buffet is one of its most celebrated features, and for good reason. Fresh oysters, prawns, mussels, and crabs are displayed beautifully on ice, inviting seafood lovers to indulge in some of the best quality offerings in Perth.
The oysters are my favourite, I love the freshness and clean, briny flavor, perfect for enjoying with a squeeze of lemon or a dash of mignonette sauce. The prawns are plump and juicy, whether enjoyed on their own or paired with a range of dipping sauces available.
International Cuisine: Asian, Mediterranean, and Indian
The Atrium Buffet’s international cuisine offers diverse flavors, showcasing dishes from Asia, the Mediterranean, and India, making it a global dining experience. The Asian section is particularly popular, featuring freshly made sushi, sashimi, Cantonese BBQ pork, Peking Duck, crispy pork belly, chicken wings, dumplings, and noodle dishes that bring authentic flavours to the table.
The Mediterranean offerings include classic dishes like Greek salads, antipasto platters, and savoury roasted meats. The Indian section adds a bold and aromatic touch with rich curries, fluffy naan bread, and spiced rice dishes, providing warmth and depth to the buffet’s selection.
Vegetarian and Vegan Options at Atrium Buffet
The buffet ensures that vegetarians and vegans are well catered for with a thoughtfully curated selection of plant-based dishes. The salad bar is a standout, offering a variety of fresh, crisp vegetables, grains, and legumes, perfect for creating personalised salads.
Additionally, there are Mediterranean-style roasted vegetables, dips like hummus and baba ganoush, and marinated olives, which provide bold flavours without the need for meat. The Indian section often includes vegetable curries and spiced lentil dishes that are both flavourful and satisfying. Vegan-friendly stir-fries and rice dishes in the Asian section add more variety to the mix.
Dessert Selection That Impresses All Ages
The dessert selection at the Atrium Buffet is nothing short of spectacular, offering a wide variety of sweet treats. For younger diners (and the young at heart), the chocolate fountain is an undeniable highlight, with marshmallows, fresh fruit, and other dippable delights ready to be coated in rich, flowing chocolate.
Adults will appreciate the intricately prepared mini cakes, pastries, and mousses, which feature a blend of classic and contemporary flavors like pannacotta, tiramisu, macarons, and crème brûlée. The selection also caters to those with a more traditional sweet tooth, offering a range of comforting desserts such as warm puddings and pies, alongside an assortment of ice creams with toppings to customise.
The desserts make it one of the best family buffets in Perth.
We have also had the Atrium Breakfast a few times, which has plenty of food options. There’s a huge choice of yoghurt, cereals, Miso Soup, bread selections, cold platters, fresh fruit, Dim Sum, hot Asian dishes, typical “English” breakfast items, and an assortment of bakery items.

Crown Buffet Perth – Epicurean vs Atrium
Epicurean and Atrium are both premium buffet restaurants in the Crown complex – Atrium is part of the Crown Metropol and Epicurean is in the Crown Towers.
My favourite out of the two is Epicurean even though it is slightly more expensive. This is my choice of a buffet for a special occasion.
You can read my full review of the Epicurean buffet for more information.
Atrium Buffet Location
Atrium buffet is located in the lobby of Crown Metropol Perth, a popular hotel and casino in Burswood.

Where to stay near the Crown Atrium Restaurant Perth
Of course, when dining at the Atrium, staying at one of the Crown hotels makes sense. We like the Crown Towers the best and then Crown Metropol. We weren’t impressed with the Crown Promenade, but it is the cheapest of the three.
We stay here every year for a staycation as it’s one of the best hotels in Perth and book through Booking.Com most of the time for their competitive prices, ease of booking, and cancellation policy.
Make the most of your Crown experience and stay a night at this luxurious resort.
