Trying to decide if the cost of the Atrium Buffet at Crown Resort Perth is worth the money? Let me help you make up your mind.

Updated April 2024 with up-to-date Atrium prices.

Atrium Buffet Review

The Atrium buffet is overseen by executive chef Christopher Hori, who has worked in some of the worldโ€™s most exclusive and well-known places, including Soho House Group, OXO Tower Brasserie, Jefferson, Jean-Georges, and Waldorf Astoria.

The food is fresh and excellent quality and not the standard buffet fare. It’s great value for money if you enjoy seafood, as there are plenty of choices, including oysters, mussels, prawns, clams, crab claws, squid, sushi and sashimi.

One of the best food stations is the Asian, which typically includes Cantonese BBQ pork, Peking Duck, crispy pork belly, chicken wings, curries, sweet and sour, noodles, and Dim Sum. The Western station includes pasta, fish, pie, roast meats, Yorkshire puddings, and trimmings.

There is also a huge range of antipasto, salads, and cheeses.

Of course, no buffet is complete without the dessert station, which includes cakes, pannacotta, crumble, cupcakes, tarts, ice cream, a chocolate fountain, and lollies. The guava panna cotta and red velvet cheesecake were delicious, as were the churros. Our daughters loved the mango sorbet.

I defy you to leave there without a full stomach!

We have also had the Atrium Breakfast a few times, which has plenty of food options. There’s a huge choice of yoghurt, cereals, Miso Soup, bread selections, cold platters, fresh fruit, Dim Sum, hot Asian dishes, typical “English” breakfast items, and an assortment of bakery items.

It is one of the best breakfast buffets in Perth.

Crown Buffet Perth – Epicurean vs Atrium

Epicurean and Atrium are both premium buffet restaurants in the Crown complex – Atrium is part of the Crown Metropol and Epicurean is in the Crown Towers.

My favourite out of the two is Epicurean even though it is slightly more expensive.

You can read my full review of the Epicurean buffet for more information.

My thoughts on Atrium Crown Perth

As mentioned, the Atrium buffet has been our go-to restaurant for family celebrations. We all enjoy seafood, Asian cuisine, and delicious desserts.

However, now our daughters are over thirteen, it is expensive. I’ve noticed the prices have been steadily increasing too. It’s always busy, so obviously, people are happy to pay the price.

So, does the Atrium buffet at Crown Perth offer a budget-friendly dining experience for families and travellers? My answer is yes, it is a cost-effective option for families with children under 13 and for people who enjoy seafood or want a buffet. However, there are other restaurants in Perth that are better value for families, especially ones that offer kids meals.

Atrium Buffet Location

Atrium buffet is located in the lobby of Crown Metropol Perth, a popular hotel and casino in Burswood.

Other Crown Restaurants Perth

If you don’t want a buffet, there are other amazing restaurants in Crown Perth. Try one of these:

  • Nobu Perth (our favourite)
  • Bistro Guillaume
  • Modo Mio
  • Rockpool Bar & Grill
  • Silks
  • Market & Co
  • The Merrywell

Where to stay near the Crown Atrium Restaurant Perth

Of course, when dining at the Atrium, staying at one of the Crown hotels makes sense. We like the Crown Towers the best and then Crown Metropol. We weren’t impressed with the Crown Promenade, but it is the cheapest of the three.

We stay here every year for a staycation as it’s one of the best hotels in Perth and book through Booking.Com most of the time for their competitive prices, ease of booking, and cancellation policy.

Make the most of your Crown experience and stay a night at this luxurious resort.
