Dinner in Perth

Cap off your day with a delicious dinner at one of the city restaurants. Will it be Perth’s only revolving restaurant, C Restaurant, with stunning views of Perth, or Long Chim or Petition Kitchen in the State Buildings or the intimate Balthazar? If you’re staying at Crown Metropol or Towers, Nobu is our favourite restaurant there. For an incredible degustation experience, book a table at Wildflower, also in the State Buildings.

There are some cool small bars in the city, or head into Northbridge for nightclubs.

Beaches/Hikes/Cycle

Beaches are best in the morning before the sea breeze comes in, and the ocean is usually calmer, making it ideal for snorkelling. Some of the best snorkel spots on Rottnest Island are Little Salmon Bay, Little Parakeet Bay, and Parkers Point.

If you’re visiting outside of summer, the water may be too cold, so consider a hike instead – there are five trails to choose from or enjoy a cycle around the island.

Lunch Rottnest Island

Eateries are limited on Rottnest, but we enjoy lunch at Geordies Cafe in Geordie Bay.

Meet the Quokkas

No trip to Rottnest Island is complete without meeting its most famous inhabitants – the quokkas. These adorable marsupials greet you with their friendly faces and seem just as curious about us as we are about them. Capturing candid moments with these gentle creatures is usually a highlight of the day.
